Alcohol kills hundreds in Kenya

Kenya’s National Campaign Against Drugs Authority has warned that there are more bars in Nairobi than there are schools and colleges. This is symptomatic of rampant alcohol consumption in the capital city and elsewhere in the country. In less than two years nearly 500 Kenyans have died due to alcohol-related complications with many more succumbing to life-altering conditions such as blindness.
