Islamists destroy world heritage sites in Timbuktu

Islamist rebels occupying Timbuktu in northern Mali have vowed to smash every mausoleum in the ancient city... Seven mausoleums have been reportedly been destroyed this weekend. This despite international protests. RFI spoke to Baz Lecoq, a Mali specialist at Ghent University, in Belgium.
