Namibian women win HIV sterilisation case

Three Namibian women struck a blow for patients' rights last weekend. The high court in Windhoek ruled  that they had been sterilised against their will. The three HIV-positive women had caesarian sections in state hospitals and were sterilised at the same time without their informed consent. What is the likely impact of the ruling?
