Soul singer Toni Green helps kids find their voice

Issued on:

"To plant a seed and watch it grow is a wonderful thing", says Memphis soul queen Toni Green. She’s sung with some of the best in the business, but Green wants the younger generation to do even better than she has. Along with Arnaud Fradin, lead singer with French band Malted Milk, she’s been helping kids at the Gassicourt College in Mantes-la-Jolie near Paris learn how to be musicians. The project, known as Green Milk, is piloted by the Blues sur Seine festival. RFI joins in the vocal workshop where Green is at her motivational best.
