Israeli fires warning shots into Syria

Issued on:

The Israeli army has fired warning shots into Syria for the first time since the 1973 Arab-Israeli war. The shots were in retaliation for a Syrian mortar that accidentally hit an Israeli army post in the Israel controlled Golan Heights. RFI spoke to Shlomo Brom, an analyst at the Institute for National Security Studies in Washington.Β
